Dogs have always played a key role in my family, in fact my parents first met each other walking their dogs when they were just 15. As a child I was brought up with black labs and later a rescue collie cross.
Dogs have fortunately been in my life ever since and I am currently owned by a Springer, a cheeky Cocker and a Border Collie, all of which are rescues. In case 12 paws aren't enough to wipe when it’s muddy, we have had the occasional foster dog come to stay too !
One of the best gifts my parents gave me .. the opportunity to grow up with a dog !

Photography has always been my other life passion and I have been photographing animals for over fifteen years. During this time I have trained and built a high standard of professional skills and equipment. I have also been actively involved as a volunteer and photographer with dog rescues for many years. This has given me invaluable experience of working with most breeds of dogs but most importantly patience and understanding in working with those that are nervous or very enthusiastic !
I know what it’s like to have a puppy, a young boisterous dog with selective hearing, a rescue dog with insecurities, an older dog who is getting more precious by the day. I also know what it’s like to sadly lose a dog and most importantly what its like to truly love a dog.
I believe along with an animal, the other important thing to have in life is a good sense of humour ….and I am pleased to say I also have one of those !
